On 7 May 2024, practitioners gathered at Emmerson Chambers to address the topic ‘Equitable Briefing: Both Sides of the Fence’. The event featured a panel of both barristers and solicitors who answered anonymously submitted questions from attendees. The panel was Gus Lightowlers (MinterEllison), Tim Rankin (Ashurst), Robynne Sanders (DLA Piper) and Emmerson Chambers members Bruce Caine KC, Kate Beattie and Lucy Davis. The event also featured judicial insights from Justice Helen Rofe, who provided thought-provoking reflections and guidance. The conversations were frank, and geared towards achieving practical solutions to the problems faced in the legal field.
