Emmerson Chambers is pleased to welcome Sam Dany and Tidja Joseph to the floor as new readers.
Sam Dany practices in intellectual property and general commercial litigation.
Sam has previously worked on complex IP litigation involving copyright infringement, breach of confidence, misleading and deceptive conduct, trademark infringement and other claims. Sam accepts briefs in all areas of IP including infringement proceedings, opposition hearings, and licensing disputes.
Sam holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons I) and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Queensland. He is reading with Peter Creighton-Selvay and his senior mentor is Peter Wallis KC.
Tidja Joseph practises in intellectual property law, privacy law and technology and data-related disputes.
Tidja comes to the Bar with a broad range of experience, having acted for large corporate entities to technology start-ups across a range of industries including energy and resources, infrastructure, technology, telecommunications, insurance and government.
Prior to joining the Bar, Tidja was a Senior Associate at Ashurst, specialising in privacy and data breaches, novel technologies such as facial recognition software and bitcoin platforms, separation, data and technology issues in mergers and acquisitions, and negotiating technology and subsea cable contracts.
Tidja holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts both from Monash University. Prior to her legal experience, Tidja obtained a tertiary qualification in science from Monash University.
Tidja is reading with Clare Cunliffe and her senior mentor is Tom Cordiner KC.
